The cottage season has been opened! When I was a little girl, I spent my whole summer in the countryside. Nowadays I can’t leave the city for 3 months (even if I would love to), but I still visit our cottage every week during the summer. And it’s so beautiful and calming. I can enjoy my dinner in the middle of nature, without any disturbance.
I cook here almost everyday. But still sometimes I love to take some shortcuts. No, it doesn’t mean fast food. It means simple cooked new potatoes with salt and dill, raw-pickled salmon, some yoghurt sauce (recipe coming!) and good quality rye bread. I always buy raw-pickled salmon from a Finnish fish seller, Kalatukku Erikkson. It’s so good. I could make it myself too…but sometimes you have a right to make your cooking day a little easier.
